BUSINESS CASE
In this project we were asked to provide air-conditioning for an office building in the province of Jaén, southern Spain, where solar radiation is very high and during summer months temperatures are very high.
This building has photovoltaic energy for its air conditioning, coinciding the periods of maximum radiation with the highest air conditioning requirements of the facilities.
We adapted the building’s air conditioning to get the most out of photovoltaic energy. Keyter designed a heat pump unit with control adapted to work with photovoltaic energy. It has 14kW of cooling capacity at nominal conditions, uses R410A ecological refrigerant, an inverter scroll compressor with variable rotation speed, EC axial external fans and electronic expansion valve to optimize energy efficiency.
