Keyter, Intarcon and Genaq join the CRE100DO Community of Excellent Companies
- Companies in the air conditioning, refrigeration and atmospheric water generation sector have been chosen to join this exclusive group of companies, which represents the most prominent companies in the Spanish Intermediate Size Company (ETI) segment.
- Companies belonging to CRE100DO experienced a 28.3% growth in turnover in the last year, 18 percentage points higher than the national average.
- Likewise, the turnover of companies in this community has multiplied by 22 since 2015, thus reinforcing its position as a key agent of growth in the Spanish economy.
- CRE100DO Foundation promotes business excellence by bringing together the most outstanding Spanish medium-sized companies in order to boost their growth, innovation and cooperation.
Lucena, 23 November 2023. – CRE100DO, a foundation that promotes business excellence by grouping and supporting companies called Intermediate Size Companies (ETI), adds new member companies to its community of excellent companies. Specifically, after a rigorous selection process, it has incorporated ten new companies, including Keyter Group companies in the air conditioning, refrigeration and atmospheric water generation segment.
The announcement of the entry of these new companies to the CRE100DO Foundation, has been made public by the general manager of the foundation, Rafael Vaquero, during the celebration of its annual event held yesterday afternoon in Madrid.
In addition to these two companies, the list of new incorporations is completed by eight other leading companies in the agri-food, retail, distribution and consumer, chemical and automotive industries: Agolives, Teknia, Eurosemillas, Primaflor, La Casa de las Carcasas, Kave Home, Azkoyen Group , CEAMSA and Airzone.
Protagonists of business growth
CRE100DO companies have experienced a 28.3% growth in turnover in the last year, 18 percentage points higher than the national average (10.3%). In this way, this business segment once again highlights its position as a key player in the economic development of our country. A role that, according to data available from the CRE100DO Foundation, is strengthened by the fact that the companies that make up this community of excellent companies are durable thanks to their sustainable growth. So much so that the entities associated with CRE100DO have multiplied their turnover by 22 since 2015.
Likewise, their potential as economic and social drivers of the rural environment is another of the keys to their driving force. In this sense, CRE100DO companies are distributed throughout the country and, specifically, 40% of them are located in municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants, contributing to the generation of local employment.
On the other hand, its attribute as a multi-sectoral segment has a positive impact on the country’s economy. Proof of this is that around 65% of the turnover and 75% of the total employment of CRE100DO companies is concentrated in more than 30 economic sectors. Within this sectoral diversification, industry stands out, with almost 6 out of every 10 CRE100DO companies engaged in some type of industrial activity.
On the importance of recognition and projection of these companies, Rafael Vaquero, general director of CRE100DO Foundation, stresses that “from CRE100DO we believe that it is necessary to segment and specifically address the group of medium-sized companies with a turnover between 50 and 500 million euros – which we call “Intermediate Size Companies” (ETIs), and distinguish it from the Large Company”. Furthermore, Vaquero stresses that “the 1,800 ETIs that have their decision-making centre in Spain represent an aggregate turnover of 221 billion euros (equivalent to 18% of GDP) and generate 1 million direct jobs (approximately 7% of private sector jobs). They are, therefore, an essential part of the economy and an engine for generating wealth and employment in our country”.
About CRE100DO Foundation
Nine years ago the Bankinter Foundation for Innovation, ICEX-Spain Export and Investment and Círculo de Empresarios joined forces to set up the CRE100DO programme, now consolidated and converted into a foundation, with the aim of promoting business excellence by grouping together and supporting excellent companies of what we call Intermediate Size Enterprises (ISEs), companies whose characteristics make them capable of improving the competitiveness of our production model.
In 2018 we reached the goal of adding 100 excellent companies with a turnover of between 50 and 500 million euros to this initiative. CRE100DO is today a community of 135 excellent companies that have managed, among many other things, to have a clear vision, transform themselves, internationalise and innovate, serving as an example for other smaller companies in their process of achieving excellence.
The total contribution generated by CRE100DO companies to the country’s economy is 17 billion euros per year to the GDP and more than 250,000 direct and indirect jobs. CRE100DO companies belong to a wide variety of sectors. These companies, in addition to many other attributes, are born with a clear innovative vocation and are prone to constant change and transformation, resilience and adaptability.
